Service Description

Who is it for? 1-to-1s are suitable for teams on any level, whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced team, as each session is tailored to the individual team. These sessions are particularly good for those dogs and handlers who may not enjoy working in a group environment, including nervous or reactive dogs.Equally, for dogs under the DDA, it’s an opportunity for them to work without their muzzle, where appropriate. What will I learn? These sessions are tailored to you and what you’d like to work on. If you’re new or newer to scentwork, we would typically focus on odour recognition, building search motivation, and developing your dog’s confidence to work through distractions and problem-solve independently. If you’re more experienced, you may already have specific goals in mind. If not, I’ll help create a plan based on what you’ve shared with me about your experience, alongside what I observe from you and your dog during the session. What odour is used? We work it a range of odours I typically have Kong, clove, gun oil and truffle oil available. Please let me know in advance if you have a preference.
